The Road is a full-service wine import & distribution firm based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Our portfolio represents some of the most exciting winemakers from around the world, who are part of a larger evolution that weaves together the worlds of natural and classic wine. While some of our partners are pioneers in this realm, many of them are young, passionate and endlessly talented. It’s a new class in session, whose collective vision is to return to simpler winemaking methods, while focusing on environmental sustainability through farming for future generations.

The results are wines that are defined by their purity, energy and balance – that are both playful and momentous – and always gorgeous, intentional interpretations of their home. These are world-class wines that excite us the most, and we’re thrilled and humbled to be entrusted to tell their stories.

To grow and make wines with such soul is truly an art, and it’s our mission to continue to discover and advocate for those who are doing it best.

Here’s to the journey,

Wine is more than a commodity... We have gone through many highs and lows, and none of us would be working here if we didn’t believe that wine eases and embellishes peoples’ lives.

acknowledgement

We acknowledge that by importing wine to what we call Ontario, we are working on Aboriginal land that has been inhabited by Indigenous peoples from the beginning. We are grateful for the opportunity to work here, and we thank the generations of people who have taken care of this land for thousands of years before us.

Since we are centralized in Toronto, we wish to specifically acknowledge the Ancestral Traditional Territories of the Ojibway, the Anishnabe and, in particular, the Mississaugas of the New Credit, whose territory we conduct business on today. This territory is covered by the Upper Canada Treaties.
