Light and fizzy with tons of light cherry, raspberry, candied red currants, pink florals and chalky mineral on a bone-dry frame. So pretty!
Why we love it: The Fidesser*Orbis range is Sophie and Rudi’s chance to play with the more experimental side of winemaking. Made through complex blending of lesser-known, native grape varieties and through absolutely minimal intervention, these wines are textural dreams and absolutely, beautiful, complex flavours that stopped us in our tracks the first time we tasted them.
True to the cerebral nature of these wines, the polyhedral orb illustrations on each label are inspired by Leonardo da Vinci’s Divine Proportione, the “Divine Proportion,” also known as the Golden Ratio. Each one represents the connection of scientific and intellectual knowledge, the Fidesser’s philosophy on the circular nature of biodynamic principles, as well as the specific character and texture of each wine.
Grapes for the Fidesser*Orbis Orange are hand-picked, lightly macerated and spontaneously fermented. Before fermentation is completed, the wine is bottled to capture the bubbles.
