Piha beach, north island

I moved to New Zealand in December of 2016. For the first few weeks in the country, I lived with my friend and her family in the beautifully lush Titirangi, a subtropical suburb to the west of Auckland.

My friend took her son and I to Piha a few days into my stay, and the few photos I got while roaming this area are enough to give an idea of the sheer vastness of this place. It looks out toward the Tasman Sea, rated as one of the top surfing destinations in this part of the world.

This place is barren, vast, meditative.
