Golden GATE | GOLDEN STATE

I spent a weekend getting to know San Francisco, and knew from the outset that I would be experiencing the tip of the iceberg of the city’s culture.

In my opinion, the best part about doing a quick overview of a city is to get a sense of its flow, discover favourite corners to come back to, and make a mental list of things to do when you’re back with more time.

Ferry Plaza market

Ranked as one of the best farmers markets in the world (right next to our own St. Lawrence Market here in Toronto), the Ferry Plaza Market is THE place to discover all kinds of local artisans. It’s quite bougie, with vendors for everything from rare books to mushrooms and single-origin cocoa, to international and local fusion cuisines and all kinds of art, music and people watching.
