Why we love it: Charlotte & Sébastien Congretel craft gorgeous Cru Beaujolais through minimal intervention, always with the aim of achieving wines of harmony and balance. Séb farms organically and biodynamically and grapes are hand-harvested. In the cellar, wines are guided through ambient/spontaneous, whole-cluster fermentation for 12 days. The wine is gently pressed into 100 year-hold foudre for 9 months, where it completes malolactic conversion. The wine is bottled unfiltered with minimal SO2.

The village of Régnié was granted Cru status in 1988; this sub-region of Beaujolais is generally known for wines of lightness and elegance. L’Épicurieux’s ChaCha Régnié comes from 1.4 ha of biodynamically-farmed, 50 year-old vines.
