Why we love it: energetic and bombastic all at once, and ever-evolving in their youth, Mikey’s Chardonnays are like liquid gold – I couldn’t get enough of them when I visited Mikey and Gina in 2021. Two years later, and we were able to snag our first allocation of this thrilling wine. Those who love Chardonnay are going to LOVE this one! The fruit, from organically-farmed Rancho Vinedo, hails from the cooler Santa Barbara sub-region of Santa Maria Valley (home to Au Bon Climat, Bien Nacido Vineyard, etc.), which is a particular favourite of Maeg’s for opulent yet age-worthy chardonnay.
