Why we love this wine: Mikey’s rosé is always one of those wines that makes you think – and that you’re just thrilled to sit back and sip at the end of the day (it’s 5 o’clock somewhere, right?!). He’s using a new vineyard and young vines with this 2022 – Casa Contenta, which sits right around the corner from the famed Bassi Vineyard. Here in Avila Beach, these sits are hardly 2 miles from the ocean, so Pinot Noir (and Syrah, Chardonnay, etc) grows particularly wild, fighting against the oceanic climate and resulting in exactly the kind of wines that Mikey wants to express as Scar of the Sea.
